Treaty Tribes Coalition is pleased to advise that this conference has been relocated to Nelson and will be held at the Rutherford Hotel, Nelson. Discover the creative paradise that is Nelson – an irresistible blend of lifestyle and stunning landscape at the top northwest corner of the South Island. Nelson is beautifully laid out under a generous sun that delivers New Zealand’s highest sunshine hours.
The Rutherford Hotel Nelson welcomes all conference delegates for the MAUI National Maori Fisheries Conference 2011. Be in quick, there are only a small number of rooms available at the Rutherford Hotel for conference delegates. To secure your room and to view other accommodation options, click here.
Smart casual or business attire is standard for our conferences. However this is the first year we have held the Maori Fisheries Conference in Te Wai Pounamu so we recommend packing a warm jacket for good measure.
Well what can we say about Nelson’s wonderful weather? It is mid to late summer so it’s likely to be warm during the day, averages this summer have seen daytime temperatures hovering around 20 - 22 degrees. Evenings in recent months have hovered around an average of 10 - 11 degrees so we’d advise out-of-town delegates to pack a few layers.
